UPDATE: I have continued to use this filter for over 3 years now and it has continued to hold up and perform very well!
This is an excellent quality filter; far better than the “gold” and plastic filters. It is well constructed, very easy to clean, and quite strong/ durable. Because it is stainless steel, it does not absorb any flavors or odors as the plastic of the gold filters can. I highly recommend this filter.
Additional Review After 1 Month’s Use:
I wouldn’t change my initial review and would still highly recommend this filter but I will note 1 design flaw and 1 feature to be aware of. The feature to be aware of is that the filter may sit higher in your coffee maker than the plastic “gold” filters do and will need to be firmly seated for the top of your coffee maker to close fully (such is the case with mine). It also, because it sits higher, holds the coffee grounds higher up. The flaw is in the attachment of the handle for lifting the basket; it becomes more notable because of the firm fit of the filter (due to the circumference of its outer rim). The handle protrudes into a slight simple on 2 sides of the basket and can occasionally pop off. It can easily be relocated into the dimples and is nothing more than a slight inconvenience. All in all, I still consider this an excellent filter and assume it will last a long, or longer, than my Cuisinart coffee maker!

Works great, seems high quality. The picture shows 6 and 10 cup markings, which would have been nice, but the product doesn’t actually have those. I’m not sure I can tell a taste difference over paper filters, but at least I don’t have to buy them anymore.

The media could not be loaded. We have owned this permanent coffee cone for over 4 years and it still comes out of the dishwasher like new. It gets used daily, sometimes twice a day if we are fighting over the coffee in our home.
Less money spent on disposable filters makes this purchase a no brainer.

I bought this to replace the gold permanent filter that came in the coffee maker, the gold one let a good bit of particle through to the cup so the lest bit of coffee was silty. this filter does a much better jop of filtering the coffee and giving a nice clean cup of coffee, 100% satisfied

So I got this coffee filter for my Krups drip coffee maker because the reusable basket that came with the maker started to tear and separate. Right when I opened my new filter I was concerned that it would be too small as it’s about 3/4″ shorter than the one I was replacing. But the shape was right, and it claimed to fit 8-10 cups worth of coffee so I decided to give it a try. I wouldn’t make a full pot with this (I have a 12 cup maker) but the 8 I make to fill travel mugs for my husband and I fit great in this basket and it’s definitely sturdier! The handle is a little flimsy but it easily pops back into place.
Not sure whether it’s a perfect replacement but it does the job and it should outlast the coffee maker.
