Prepare a fine cup of coffee

The improved piston plate is strong, super COMPACT and every single one of its parts is amazingly related all around. Clarity in life and in coffee! Thanks to the clearly practical and powerful 4-filter sieve system, you will never experience coffee beans in your mouth again.

The impeccable heat-resistant glass material

This French press is a wonderful addition to any kitchen. This French coffee maker has borosilicate glass, the basic type of glass that is acceptably strong to withstand high temperatures and turns out to be a winner when compared to other French coffee makers! Fortunately, the solid and heat-safe French Coffee Press has passed more than 50 tests started by customers. Not only the quality of the craftsmanship is clearly evident in the extensive table, the pot has a remarkable charisma that keeps an eye on its strengths. The overwhelming borosilicate glass carafe fits relentlessly into the strong metal bundling – the frame has feet on the floor so that the press lies securely and wobble-free on your counter or table.

Why could this be the best French press?

  • Makes the perfect sizes for coffee. 1000 ml or 34 oz French espresso lump, perfect for 8 coffee cups.
  • Made from 304-tested stainless steel, warm, safe borosilicate glass and BPA-free, easy-care plastic.
  • Extra fine, 100-grid channels ensure that there are no coffee grounds in your coffee.
  • A lifetime of tasty refreshments without convincing motivation to replace channels or buy exorbitant, dangerous plastic K-compartments.
  • Quiet and ideal for on the go, outside, at home or in the office.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great price for a great coffee maker
If you’ve never had a cup of French Press coffee, let me tell you what you’re missing. It’s an uncomplicated, delicious way to enjoy your cup of Joe. This French Press is an excellent value for a great little coffee maker.

Don’t be intimidated by the word “French” in the title. It was a French invention that is actually rather simply to use. First, this little coffee maker comes with a coffee scoop. This allows you to choose the strength of your coffee. You simply place the grounds into the carafe, pour hot water over the top to your desired amount of cups (this size will yield two average American coffee mugs’ worth of coffee), then give them a good stir before placing the lid on. Do not plunge your press all the way down just yet, though. You want to allow the hot water and coffee the chance to dance a bit, between 4 to 7 minutes is pretty ideal, then plunge down the plunger to cover the grounds and pour into your cup.

The first thing you’ll immediately notice with a good French press is how easy it is to enjoy great tasting coffee. The time it steeps gives it a chance to release the oils of the coffee bean thereby also releasing a better tasting cup than brewed in an electric coffee maker and richer than a pour-over set up which always includes a paper filter which traps some of the flavor the oils produce. This product does a great job of achieving all of the above.

As tempting as it may be to re-use coffee grounds, remember they are really only going to be good for one use. Throw them into your compost heap if you don’t wish to waste them.

One tip about grinding your own coffee, use a coarse grind to really take advantage of your French press. A finer grind sometimes allows little bits of coffee grounds to escape through the mesh of some coffee makers which disrupts the experience. I will say, however, that even with a regular bag of Starbucks coffee picked up from a grocery store already ground, I did not see this problem. The mess on this pot is pretty good about keeping out the undesirable bits and only giving you what you want–great tasting brew.

Cleaning most French presses is not super-hard, but also not always simple. To make my life easier, I just toss mine into the the top rack of the dishwasher (yes, this FP is dishwasher-safe) thus avoiding having to bend and maneuver the mesh screen. This can cause warping if handled too aggressively which allows grounds to seep out during the brewing process. The less you try to manipulate the screen, the longer this product is likely to last.

I’ve enjoyed this press for a few weeks now and had zero complications in achieving coffee nirvana. It really does it’s job. If you are looking for something to hold the hot coffee in in between cups, I suggest an insulated mug or carafe. That is the downfall of most French presses, but it doesn’t mean the challenge cannot be smartly met. I really recommend this product for it’s price, durability, and easy operation.

5.0 out of 5 stars First time I’ve liked French Press
Although I’ve had French Press coffee, I didn’t like it. I hate sludge in the bottom of my cup. So I always made pour-over. But then I purchased brewable cacao which calls for a French Press. I decided to purchase a small, inexpensive one. This was cute and colorful, sounded good, so I bought it.

I bought the one cup version. It’s adorable! My daughter, who uses French Press regularly, squealed over it. Anyway, I began brewing the cacao in it and was very happy with the results. There is some very fine sediment in the cup, but it isn’t bad. Then I began adding a bit of coffee during the final couple of minutes to give a mocha flavor. It surprised me that there wasn’t much sediment even with the coffee. The flavor is excellent. It holds heat very well.

The few cons with it are: The glass portion doesn’t seem to remove from the plastic, so I can’t get into the crevasses to clean the outside. I do personally find cleanup a bit difficult. Normally I use a teaspoon to get to the bottom to remove the grounds, or I rinse them out into the toilet because I don’t have a garbage disposal. Recently I began scooping out what I can, then rinsing the rest out and putting them through a pour-over setup to be able to toss them into the garbage. That works well. Even though I have a small hand, I can’t get into the one-cup press to clean it, so I have to use a long-handled glass brush.

Finally, I broke the carafe, but that was almost certainly my own fault. I banged it against the garbage can rather than gently tapping it. Almost cried because I had no way to properly brew the cacao! Ordering another one today, this time in a larger size so I can reheat another cup later or have it cold in the 100+ degree heat.

All in all, I’m not tempted to purchase a more expensive one because I see no need to do so. I’m really pleased with this and enjoy the ritual of making coffee, cacao, and tea in this press. Maybe I’ll buy two and give one to my daughter!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to clean and works as expected
I used it as soon as I got the package and cleaned it and this is definitely worth it. Easy to use and clean and taste great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very happy with mine
I have had several presses, so I write from experience. Price is my first priority when shopping and I go from there. I’ve had this one for a few months. I use it every day and multiple times per day. Happy with it and would buy again.

    Pros:

    Great price!
Internal metal parts are sturdier than most
I like the design. Simple and and clean.

    Cons:

I wish the carafe could slip out easier from the handle part. Most do. It’s in there very tight. I haven’t been able to wiggle it out yet, but that’s not stopped me from washing and using. It would be nice to swap carafes as I have a few.

The carafe spout is short. I prefer a longer, more pointed spout which pours better than this shorter, rounded one.

There is an arrow on the lid that indicates where the opening is, so that you can align that with the spout for pouring. That arrow is really small and hard to see. It is raised, though, so you can feel it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product and service!!!
The first one of these I ordered came with a defect inside the glass itself. It wasn’t damage due to shipping. It was an issue when it was made. I went through the return process and had another one in about 2 days. This also makes great coffee. I hand grind to get the best possible cup of coffee and this product is awesome. I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!
I have a cup of coffee every morning, but have often found myself frustrated with the lackluster taste of the java from my Keurig or auto drip coffee makers. A friend recommended I try a french press, so I ordered this one. I’ve been using it for over a week now and I’m really happy with the upswing in the taste of my coffee. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, pours perfectly, feels good quality, and is definitely worth the price of less than $20. I paired it with an e-kettle for rapid boiling and my morning routine doesn’t take much longer (just needed a little reconfiguring). Definitely recommend if you’re unsatisfied with your daily cup of joe and are looking for ways to improve it. Plus, it’s more sanitary than a coffee maker machine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
I use this to make my ice coffee concentrate. Works perfectly since I’m the only one that likes my own ice coffee. I also like it because it is still made of glass and not plastic. Great price and fast shipping.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great for straining tea, not sturdy
I got this because it’s easier to clean than a tea pot and it worked excellently with all kinds of tea and stayed warm enough to steep well. The plum color is cute. The plunger comes apart so the strainer is easy to clean, too. However the glass is subpar at best and I doubt it’s actually borosilicate. The pour spout is wobbly and the carafe has a hairline fracture after only 7 months. I didn’t expect a lot for <$20, but I did expect at least a year of use. It’s impossible to remove the carafe from the plastic frame but it’s also somehow not sealed since soap and water can get into the space. The carafe also has no markings for the amount of liquid you’re pouring in. I’m debating if it’s worth it to get another.

4.0 out of 5 stars An “Extra Large” French Press with a personal sized scoop
This press was shipped to me in it’s original box, with no additional packaging, and a label slapped onto it. It arrived extremely fast compared to other products I’ve ordered on Amazon. It took two days to get here and it wasn’t shattered when I opened it up.

That’s pretty mind blowing in itself!

Now for the fun stuff…I added pictures after washing it and after first use.

    Pro’s:

    1. This is is a glass press – which means you can use it for hot or cold coffee, espresso, and loose leaf tea’s.

    2. It is almost the exact same size as the plastic cold press from Bodum and it costs a couple dollars more. (The Bodum model is for cold press only!)

    3. It comes with a tiny scoop that you can keep to measure your favorite beverage.

    4. For anyone who doesn’t know how to use a French Press the Instructions are printed on the side of the box. Unless you pitch the box–you wont ever lose the manual for it.

    Cons:
    1. The metal screens do not stay centered or fixed to ensure a safe press.

Let me clarify since that may seem a bit confusing.

Most “Presses” have it designed so when you put the lid on, the center (which is the screens to perform the actual press of grounds or leaves itself), is instantly level. Meaning it does not sit crooked at all, but it is even.

THIS IS NOT the case for THIS product!

It takes some TIME and PATIENCE to get it to go in evenly. It also extends the time it takes to press your drink from a 4 minute wait to about 6, which can leave it cooler or colder than you would like it to.

This may or may not change depending on whether or not the item was or is defective.

    2. There are no instructions for the screens themselves or even if you can replace them in the future.

    3. There is no warranty information on the sellers page or anywhere on the box.

Overall Review: I feel like I may have received a defective unit. I do not like the fact that the press is crooked. I now have to contact the seller to see if they can replace the top (The lid and press mechanism) or if i’ll have to swap the whole unit out.

I love the idea of this press and the flavor of the beverage is a 10. I just wish it worked without the hitches.

Update: Customer service said to adjust the unit by gently turning the top knob on the press lid. It mostly fixed the situation, but its still a little crooked. It works well.

Still can’t find warranty information on it. All in all a great press

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than any coffee maker
I got sick and tired of my old coffee pot weather it be having to clean it or it just not wanting to work half the time. I wanted a simpler and better way at making coffee and this Coffee Press has gone above and beyond that. I enjoy making my coffee and I feel like I waste a lot less doing it this way as I can make it a cup at a time!!! Would recommend !!!
